VIPP is a special three week training program offered once a year by the LKT.
Set up in conjunction with the UNIDO it has now been running for some 35 years. The course is aimed at managers of enterprises, research personnel and technical staff, and at those who wish to upgrade their knowledge on plastics processing, application and recycling, by means of an intensive course of study.

The course offers an introductive overview to the field of achievement in polymer engineering at a high industrial level paying particular attention to the ever-changing business environment of the European market.

The program encourages the individual efforts of participants in the implementation of specific local follow-up activities in plastics processing, plastics application, product, mould and die design and testing (quality control).

Above all the specific training needs of the participants are taken into consideration. There is also the opportunity to add an extra week of tailor made specialist modules depending on the individual need.

The course offers full time tuition in both theoretical and practical work by experienced senior lecturers. Planning, execution, review, evaluation and reporting of workshops take place with constant support.

Practical work includes preparation, operation, maintenance and computer support. Machine operation is executed by the most modern extruders, testing instruments and auxiliary equipment. Workshops have at their disposal the audio-visual facilities and the local computer network.

Not only do we offer exclusive training facilities but over the years the LKT has earned a reputation for its wide range of social activities which provide welcome diversion from the rigours of the training program. Especially after our LKT-Weekend, where trainees and trainers spend some time in a relaxing atmosphere, we are proud to say that participants leave not only with a certificate, but with a lot of new friends. All graduates are officially certified by the LKT – Laboratory for Polymer and Environmental Engineering Ltd.
